Best AK-47 Skins Under $10
Eleven AK-47 skins you can buy for less than $10 right now, from $1 starter skins to Classified finishes in Battle-Scarred, with the exact wear that keeps each one under budget.
The AK-47 is the rifle you hold for most of every T side, so it is the first skin most players buy. You do not need a big budget for it. A lot of AK-47 finishes, including several Classified ones, sell for less than $10 if you pick the right wear.

Under $5: the cheapest good-looking AKs
AK-47 | Uncharted
A tribal-pattern paint job from the Prisma Case. It is the cheapest skin on this list: Field-Tested was $0.75, Battle-Scarred $0.77 and Minimal Wear $1.11. Because it is so cheap, the smart move is to go straight to Factory New at $2.20. StatTrak is also within reach in every wear, from $2.42 (Field-Tested) to $5.33 (Factory New).
AK-47 | Elite Build
A busy hydrographic and decal design from the Chroma 2 Case, and one of the classic starter AKs. Battle-Scarred ($1.92), Well-Worn ($1.95) and Field-Tested ($2.25) are almost the same price, while Minimal Wear is $3.54, a cheap step up in how clean it looks. Factory New sits just under the limit at $9.89. StatTrak Field-Tested was $6.03.
AK-47 | Safety Net
An orange mesh over a white base from the 2018 Inferno Collection. It is not in a case, so you buy it on the market. Its float range stops at 0.60, so even Battle-Scarred is less beaten up than on most skins. Field-Tested was $3.15, Well-Worn actually cost more ($3.57) and Minimal Wear was $4.32. There is no StatTrak version. It fits well in an orange or white loadout.
AK-47 | Rat Rod
A junkyard rifle from the Shattered Web Case: the original blue topcoat has been painted over, etched into and weathered away, so wear suits it. Field-Tested and Well-Worn were both $4.28 and Battle-Scarred $4.24, so take Field-Tested. Minimal Wear was $7.60 and StatTrak started at $10.42, just over budget.
AK-47 | Slate
Described in-game as "black on black on slate black", this Snakebite Case skin is the safe pick if you want a clean, dark AK that goes with anything. Battle-Scarred was $4.31, Well-Worn $4.42, Field-Tested $4.89 and Minimal Wear $8.23. Factory New ($18.97) and StatTrak (from $12.02) are over $10. More options are on our black skins page.
$5 to $10: Classified AK-47s in worn conditions
This is where the budget goes furthest. Classified is the rarity just below Covert, and these six skins all cost under $10 in Battle-Scarred, most of them in Field-Tested too.
AK-47 | Ice Coaled
A vibrant green-to-blue gradient from the Recoil Case. Simple designs like this hold up well in worn conditions. Battle-Scarred was $4.86, Field-Tested $5.15 and Minimal Wear $8.90; Well-Worn ($5.43) cost more than Field-Tested. StatTrak Battle-Scarred was exactly $10.00. A good match for blue and green inventories.
AK-47 | Searing Rage
An art brut paint job from the Fever Case. It is the best StatTrak deal here: StatTrak Battle-Scarred $7.81, Well-Worn $8.12, Field-Tested $9.27. Normal versions were $5.13 (BS), $5.38 (WW), $5.87 (FT) and $8.56 (MW).
AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge
A wine and white base with gold accents from the Radiant Collection. Wear changes the price a lot here: Battle-Scarred was $5.45 and Well-Worn $6.04, while Field-Tested had already passed the limit at $10.10. There is no StatTrak. One of the best red AKs at this price.
AK-47 | The Outsiders
Crude drawings of Ts in different situations, from the Gallery Case. It is a cartoon skin, so scratches matter less than on a clean design. Battle-Scarred was $5.85, Well-Worn $6.83 and Field-Tested $7.21. Minimal Wear jumps to $14.64.
AK-47 | Phantom Disruptor
A mistform creature painted over a matte black base, from the Prisma 2 Case. Its float stops at 0.65. Battle-Scarred was $6.56, Field-Tested $6.79, Well-Worn $6.90 (more than FT again) and Minimal Wear $8.47, so even a Minimal Wear copy fits the budget.
AK-47 | Crane Flight
A hand-painted crane with gold accents over a black and white base, from the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal. Only Battle-Scarred ($9.01) is under $10; Well-Worn was $11.61 and Field-Tested $15.00. If you want this design cheap, Battle-Scarred is the only way in.
How to pick the wear and save money
- Compare every wear before you buy. On Safety Net, Ice Coaled and Phantom Disruptor, Well-Worn cost more than Field-Tested. On Rat Rod and Elite Build, Battle-Scarred saved only a few cents over Field-Tested.
- Check the float range. Skins that stop at a low float (Safety Net at 0.60, Phantom Disruptor at 0.65) never get as damaged as skins that go to 1.00. Our float guide explains how float works.
- Look at the skin in game. Busy, colourful designs (Elite Build, Searing Rage, The Outsiders) hide wear. Clean designs (Slate, Ice Coaled) show it more.
- StatTrak is not always out of reach. Uncharted, Elite Build and Searing Rage all had StatTrak versions under $10.
What about the Redline?
The AK-47 | Redline is a classic first AK, but it is not a budget skin. The cheapest wear, Battle-Scarred, was $25.18, and Field-Tested was $34.82. If you like the black-and-red look, Nouveau Rouge (red and white with gold) costs a fraction of that. You can browse all 61 finishes on our AK-47 skins page.
Trade-ups and cases
Most skins above drop from cases, but buying the skin directly is far cheaper than opening for it: a Classified skin comes out of a case only 3.20% of the time. If you still want to open, see which cases are worth opening and try the free case simulator first.
The Classified AKs here can also be targeted with trade-up contracts: 10 Restricted skins from the same collection give a 33.3% chance at Ice Coaled, Searing Rage, The Outsiders, Phantom Disruptor or Crane Flight. Nouveau Rouge is the only Classified in the Radiant Collection, so a full Radiant contract always lands on it. Plan the contract and output float in the trade-up calculator, and read our trade-up guide before you spend anything.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest decent AK-47 skin in CS2?
AK-47 | Uncharted costs well under $1 in Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred, and AK-47 | Elite Build is around $2 in Field-Tested. Both are full custom paint jobs rather than plain camo.
Is the AK-47 | Redline under $10?
No. On the day we checked, the cheapest Redline (Battle-Scarred) was $25.18 and Field-Tested was $34.82. There is no Factory New Redline because its float starts at 0.10.
Can I get a StatTrak AK-47 for under $10?
Yes. StatTrak AK-47 | Searing Rage was $7.81 to $9.27 in Battle-Scarred to Field-Tested, StatTrak Elite Build was $6.03 in Field-Tested, and StatTrak Uncharted was under $6 in every wear.
Which wear should I buy on a budget?
Check every wear before buying. For several AK-47 skins under $10, Well-Worn costs about the same as Field-Tested or even more, and Battle-Scarred is only cents cheaper, so Field-Tested is often the better buy.
